There are schools for those wishing to learn wind surfing & diving. To get around town just wave down a minibus. It's just LE 1 and it's a great way to meet some of the locals. Minibuses also travel back and forth between town and the northern resorts.

For divers from all types, and diving maniac, Safaga has lots of diving sites to fulfill their interest. Some of the most fantastic diving sites are: Ras Abu Soma; a r eef lying in front of the shore sloping gently and offers numerous quality dive sites. Several caves with sweepers, schooling reef fish and occasional sightings of eagle rays. Tobia Arba; a lso named the seven pillars, rising from a sandy bottom and display a fascinating landscape of soft corals, glassfish, gorgonians. Giant puffer fish, blue spotted rays and octopus.
